I have a 92yj with a carberated 350. Due to the lack of $$$ i was wondering if it is possible to use the stock guage cluster.

Hypothetically I would think that if you can re-use the sending units from the original engine then the gauges should work. I am not sure if you can run your own wiring or re-use part of the factory harness. I don't know if the guage cluster in a '92 YJ has wires or or a circuit board. a circuit board may complicate things.
P.s. I am not Dr. Vern (but I am happy to take credit for his writing!)

I used a universal 12 circuit harness from hot rod wires to wire the 350.So there is not much of the orginal wiring or sending units.I am using chevy temp and oil pressure sending units. On the back of the guage cluster it has copper looking stripes that run from each guage to a plug. Tried a quick wire from plug to chevy sending units but nothing worked.Looks like I am going shoping.
