Scout axle swap.

I have a scout axle that I am thinking about swapping into my cj. I don't have a matching front axle and was wondering what would happen if I put the rear in with the regular 30 wide track front. How would it look and handle with the front being two inches shorter than the rear. Any experience with this would be of great help.
