Jp Magazine - Your Jeep on the Cover Contest!

What? Are we nuts? Probably. But we're going for it anyway. Read the following CAREFULLY.
Think your Jeep deserves a chance to be on the cover of the best-selling off-road magazine on the newsstand? Think you got the photo chops to hang with the pros? Want us to pay you a $100 freelance fee for your photo AND run it on the cover AND give you an ultra-rare, last-one-ever Jp magazine T-Shirt (size XL)? Now's your chance to put your photo where your mouth is.

First, if you're not already a member of our forums, CLICK HERE to create an account.
Second, upload your submission from your Photobucket, Imageshack, Picasa, or other account's IMG code in reply to this thread. A low-res image is fine for consideration, but keep in mind your actual photo submission must meet the minimum requirements listed below. We'll need to get in touch with you FAST once the contest closes, so make sure to post your email address and be near the computer at the close of the contest.
1. Must be shot with a digital camera capable of at least 8 megapixels (minimum pixel dimension will be 2592 x 3872). 2. Must be shot with the camera held vertically to be considered for a cover. 3. Must be shot using maximum quality if a JPEG (hold compression to minimum). TIFF files are also acceptable. RGB color mode is fine and preferred. 4. Subject matter (Jeep vehicle!) must be kept large in the frame. 5. Proper exposure and sharp focus are a must. So is a clean background. 6. Think color saturation, good contrast, and good action. 7. Clean rigs only: no company or corporate names emblazened in huge letters Submissions may begin now and we'll close it down at 12:00pm, Pacific Coast Time on 2/27/2012, so have your high-res image ready to electronically submit if and when we contact you. Now some words of warning. For starters, we'll be asking the winner for his/her W9 information since you'll technically be a freelance photographer. Second, we can't compromise the cover quality of Jp magazine. If we don't get any submissions that meet our stringent requirements, then we won't use one from this endeavor. Keep in mind there are other factors involved in selecting a magazine cover than just a cool Jeep or a high-action photo, so no hurt feelings or cries of foul play if you're not selected. Third, this is not a popularity contest where your buddies get to vote you in. This is a brutal dictatorship in which committe decisions do not apply. Sounds harsh, but we gotta be up front and honest.
So give it your best shot by giving us your best shot. Good luck!
