I'm looking to purchase a new 2012 Jk Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4x4. I placed an order for a dealer to find 1 that is a stick with a 3.73 ratio.
How do I know the Jeep I am receiving has a 3.73 gear ratio in it?
I'm tight on time on this one, as I will be making this purchase within these next few days.
Thanks in Advance for Your Assistance.
Sincerely,
Bone

The new vehicle window sticker will state what axle ratio it has. Plus they used to have a tape sticker wrapped around the end of the rear axle tube that told the axle model, ratio & whether it was an open diff or locker. Not sure if they still do that or not. Hope this helps. Congrats on the new Wrangler! My wife wants one to compliment my 06 LJ rubicon, the daughter's '95 XJ Sport & my '67 M715.

Thanks for the quick reply. I knew about the metal tag mounted to one of the diff bolts, as I am still the owner of a '93 YJ that has a 4.11 ratio and used to have open diffs... hehehehe.
I'm just one of those guys that need another person to tell them something they already know....but I have forgotten more than I care to remember.
I hope to re-up my Membership into the Jp community on Valentines' Day.
Kind of fitting actually... This will help perpetuate one of my two ongoing love affairs. The First would have to be Everything Jeep. And the second is Everything Harley~Davidson. Both have helped to keep me sane during my 20 years of marriage with the most wonderful girl a guy could hope to call his Wife.
Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks again for Your Help.
Sincerely,
BoneShkr
