This is my first post so I'm not sure how it works.I have a 1989 YJ with the 6 cyl.in it.Also a weber carb was put on it before I bought it.I'm having somewhat of a problem keeping it running in the cold mornings and it shuts off sometimes when I stop,if I keep the R's up it runs fine.It sounds like it's out of time,ie missing at idle but I can't seem to time it and I think it's because of the distributor. The little arm running from the vacuume advance to the advance/retarding deal seems REAL loose,it makes noise when it's running it's that bad.So what I'm asking is what is the best distributor for the price out there or does anyone have any other suggestions for me?It's not a crawler yet but it will be soon so I'd like to get something other then stock with alittle bit more output and reliability.

The electronic one is expensive but it is the best bang for the buck. Before you spend the money, check if the one that you have has been changed over to electronic ignition. If it has , try changing the vaccume advance diaghfram. You may also need to reset the fast idle on the carberator.
