After I installed the 2" coil spacer kit and had it aligned I noticed when starting out in 1st gear the stick kinda wobbles a bit.It does not do it under acceleration in 2nd,3rd or the rest of the gears. I have a 2006 Wrangler X with the 6 speed manual. I tried to see if it did it in 4h and 4lo and it does not do it. Does not wobble in reverse either. Has anyone else encountered this after a coil spacer lift? If so what cured the problem. Almost seems like the output shaft feels bent. I jacked it up and turned the wheels and looked at the rear axle and it turns straight. Doesn't look bent. I only have 8000 miles on this rig.

thanks

I have an '05 Rubicon Ulimited with a spacer lift as well.  I've got a wierd vibe at around 40 mph.  I have been told its the bushings on the control arms, and that the dealer can replace them with Mopar performance ones, which eliminates the prob.  So far BOTH dealers in my area have given me the run-around becuase of my lift and tires (295-75-16.)  Any one else have a clue?

Sounds to me because of the change in angle of your driveshaft, that the front joint may be binding just a bit. The amount of torque output in frist gear is shaking the transfercase and trans mount. My Yj is an Auto trans, but did same thing, with the t-case shift shaking around when taking off. If this is the case like mine and the TJ my buddy had, in time the front joint will end up having to be replaced a lot. Mine about every 10k. You can get the SYE, and swap the driveshaft. You could also get a Transfercase drop, but that kills the 2 inch lift you just installed. What I ended up doing, ( I all so have a 2" body lift ) is getting the 1" lifted engine mounts. This tips the power train just a bit, and will help line the u-joint back up. You'll be able to tell in a few miles if this is whats going on. Watch the driveshaft oilseal in the tailshaft of the t-case. If the joint is binding, and getting out of line. You will start to see that it is slinging oil around on the floor boards above the seal. Hope this helps, good luck.

it is the driveline angles. Buddy who has had/lifted jeeps all his life told me to put washers as spacers between skid plate and frame to drop transfer case. took wobble right out!. I ordered a 3/4 inch coil spacer lift for the rear which will lower the rear about 1-1 1/4 inches. this will definitly put it back in line and level the jeep out better. The back end sits way too high after putting the 2" spacers all the way around. I even kept the factory spacers/pad in the front to help level it.  it sits 35" to the fender in front and 36 1/4" in the rear.
