Ive got my plan layed out and have most the parts for my build. but I am still tryin to conquer the lifting are. I am considering to switch to leaf springs in the front of my 85xj instead of coils to keep cost down and simplicity. has anyone esle done this and if so how dificult, did you use xj springs in front and so on. any info on this would help.

Why change somthing that the engineers have spent thousands of hours designing and perfecting? Leaf springs will cut down on flex and give you a harsher ride. Just change the front coils and install some aftermarket lower control arms. you will be alot happier.

Changing to leaf springs in the front will cost way more and cause more headaches than you are trained to deal with - especially if you have to ask this Q in the first place.......
