I put a hardtop on my 86 CJ7. I cut a 2"X1.5" square hole on the inside wall of the FG tub under each mounting hole in the hardtop. Then I just used stainless bolts with washers and nylock nuts (although you could probably use the original threaded blocks that come on a hardtop). As for the windshield, I stuck with a steel frame because I had heard that if you are going to put a hardtop on Fiberglass, it will eventually vibrate the small hardtop screws/bolts loose, strip the holes, and if you don't fix it quick by changing the location it can break the fiberglass. Not much different than every other jeep but I think that the steel will hold up better. Good Luck

I was told I wouldn't be able to use my hard top with a fiberglass body. This isn't true? I also have full steel doors. Can these also be used?
