I have added a 1 in spacer to the carb and a tornado to the fuel system it helped alot but I am adding power steering to the poor beast, any suggestions would be appreciated

first oof that tornado was a wast of your money. when you add stuff like that, you think you get better MPG due to the fact that you just spent $60 on a pice of tin. so you drive differnt. its all in your head. if your adding power stering that will not take away horse power. it take around 1.3 hp to turn that pump. that isnt a loss that you will notice. if you want some HP you should get a header and a new muffler. they could free up some HP. after that try some intake stuff. if you really want some HP you need to do engine stuff. a cam, bore it . stroke it. you can get alot of HP off of bolt on things

I also remember 1 of the off road mags doing a fuel injection on anything article. and I thing the F head might have been 1 that they did. you could also look into a high performance ignition. they don't do crap on a modern engine, but they realy liven up an old one. I bought a Jacobs Omni Pack. absolutly zero difference on my TJ. but it got my jeepster to run when the stock ignition wasn't even arcing across the distributor gap. it also livened up my running fine corvair some.
