I  was told that the stock springs for a Rubicon are 1" taller than the stock springs on a 97' sport. Anyone know for sure if that is true or not. If so will they fit on a 97'.

thanks KC

Not sure about the springs, but a friend has a rubi.  They run a tire that is not 31 x10.5 (at least in Canada).  It sits higher than mine, but there are much cheaper ways to gain an inch.

If you just want to run 31's, throw them on and adjust your steering stops or live with the rub.

If you plan to disconnect offroad it might be more of an issue.

according to skyjacker and quadratec the spring heights are the same. I had the same question because I purchased a skyjacker 2.5", singleflex kit that would fit 97-02, but decided to put it a 03 rubicon. I'm not sure either, since I havent yet put it on the 03 rubicon. let me know if you find out anything more.
