i think the humor and sarcasm are great, keep up the tech too, how about some on quality owner built mods or good "shadetree" stuff, kinda like your "old school" series on flatties, cj/yj/tj, pick-ups/waggies,etc.

Life without humor is just wrong and so would the pages of JP that I've been a long time subscriber to. Now from a Christian four wheeler point of view, unclean, adult humor and BREE are just not needed, Unless you are that unsure that your magazine format won't stand up for itself. Real men just don't need to go there.
Now, here come the comments...

Here is the low down. Keep the jokes. It's not a manual. IT IS ENTERTAINMENT. with Alot of useful stuff. Two great things in one. If some of you guys are up set about a picture of a girl, or guy,LOL. in a bikini. I feel for your kids. Hide em from society and your gonna have troubles later. There is no out of line pics. If you think there is your kids will probably never see a beach or a swimming hole. KEEP DOIN WHAT YOU DO JP!!!!!!!

Jp is fun to read. If I wanted to read a stiff magazine I'll read Car and Driver. How are boobs offensive? We all got boobs. I have no problem looking at women and jeeps. Anyone who has a problem with the way women are portrayed in Jp is clearly not watching t.v. Please leave Jp's humor

Loose the humor? Then loose a reader! The redneck humor is part of the draw of JP over the other Off-Road Enthusiasts magazines. I’m not berating the other fine publications of the Primedia group, but Jeep owners/fans are kind of a strange breed to begin with. I mean, really, how does one even classify a Jeep? At car washes, I’m a “truck/SUV”, even though my TJ is almost a third of the size of most full-size trucks/SUV, and with the soft top, has even less metal to clean. On my insurance paperwork, it’s listed as a “car” (I assume to get better rates?). With the quirky, walk-your-own-way personality that the Jeep has, how could a magazine based on the “jeep lifestyle” not have a little bit of a warped sense of humor?!? -

I have worked in servic centers all my life been in some shop when every i could built a jeep in my garage. Every where there is humor all. A shop a Jeep jamborie, there is laughter. Fine maybe you dont like some of the humor, or some of the pictures. I am sorry but have you just not been in public? My family and I were in Fla this past summer I have a ten your old boy and a 15 year old daughter, have you seen what people where on the beach, at the pool, at the mall? Real life is real life Jp is real life myself and everybody else lives here too, what i am saying Jp's limited skin exposure is no where near what you see in public Dont change a thing!!!!

keep the humor. i don't think that jp was or is marketed as a kiddie magazine, if that's what you're looking for, swipe a highlights from the dentist office and enjoy. people who actually read the articles in jp are pretty likely to be jeep owners or are going to be jeep owners, that probably means that they are probably at least a teenager and are otherwise just looking at cool pictures of jeeps. i am sure that there are going to be the exceptional three year old genius kids out there that read the mag cover to cover and understand semi-risque humor and are offended by it. if that's your case, hide them under your mattress with the lingerie ads from the daily newspaper and think up something new to complain about.

The humor has it's place and should be kept, but like others have said, keep it in balance. It is possible to have too much of a good thing.
I don't have kids but I know that both adults and kids read the mag and parents shouldn't have to review a Jeep-oriented magazine for appropriate content so their kids can read, and hopefully learn, from the info in JP. I used to donate my copies to a local high school shop class but the shop teacher politely asked for no more donations of JP magazine because of some of the content. I was a subscriber but dropped my subscription when the mag went from a decent all Jeep tech and info rag to, well, whatever is going in with it now.
Stick to the basics, more real world tech that a Jeeper on a budget can do without maxing out a line of credit, articles on responsible off-roading (here in California we are locked in a constant fight to keep trails open and most groups I wheel with do a lot to care for the land we use), give me info, don't spend time in the office thinking of funny things to put in the mag, you all aren't that funny and while I appreciate and am guilty of the same thing, I don't need off-color or suggestive humor in a tech magazine. Besides, Jeeps and their owners are funny in their own right.
Almost every Jeep event I go to is very family-oriented. Off-roading and all of it's associated activities are great for families and singles alike, I would hope that JP magazine can make JP into what could be a great resource, but still fun for Jeepers of all ages to read. Maybe I'll have to re-new my subscription...
