I am in the process of upgrading an 89 XJ. My brother in law has a '10 Rubicon that he removed the factory bumper off and replaced with an off-road winch bumper. I am thinking of putting the factory Rubicon bumper onto my XJ- any suggestions?

honestly, your best bet would be building your own bumper out of 2x4 steel tubing, or buying a aftermarket bumper. because after fabricating new bumper brackets to mount the jk bumper, you'll still have a thin metal, plastic covered disaster of a bumper. it would be good if you never take your jeep offroad and yes, it would look nice. but if you use your jeep, that cheaply made bumper would be destroyed. so you'll have to chose between good looks and function.

Thanx for the input. My XJ is my daily driver, and it does get some use in the back country, but most of that does not involve any hardcore rock crawling- at least for the moment until I get a new daily driver and can afford to take the XJ out for more fun than work.
