I have an 07 JK Unlimited X. I recently went to 315/75/16's with the help of a Rough Country 3 1/4" lift.  Ofcourse my mileage and power wnet out the window. I'm looking to regain some of that and was wondering the best way to go abhout it. I've had it planned for a while that I would re-gear to 4.56 since it's 75% street driven. Now, after reading a couple articles in a past issue, I am tossing around the idea of getting a Superchips flashpaq and a Sprintbooster. this would be about half the cost of a gearswap, but I am wondering which would give me the most bang for my buck.

Sooo you have 3.54 or 3.73 gears now? Which?

I'd start by correcting the speedo to get your true mileage. The mileage you are reading now is inaccurate since the tires are bigger than stock. It's reading slow.

I'd keep the 4.10s with your tires.

thanks for the help. Found out a friend has a hypertech programmer and we are going to hook my JK up to it and that should fix the speedo and a few other things. FYI, didn't renew two other 4X4 automotive magazines but renewed Jp for two years. Love the mag. thanks again.
