Somebody please explain why the pics of the blow up doll, with and without the poweraid bottle in the doll's posterior, were necessary to print?
Is it safe to assume since "hardcore wheelin'" is the current mainstream and the future content of JP Magazine will pander to the mentality of the "average hardcore wannabe"? Is family wheelin' dead or just not profitable enough to receive attention?
I've been a subscriber for many years, and the past year's issues have dissappointed me. Explaining (well, lying about) what the blow up doll was to my 8yr old nephew is something that I'd never expect to happen while reading a 4x4 mag. Should the next issue contain similar content, I'm cancelling my subscription.

Gotta agree. This is the first Jeep magazine that I will not let my kids see. Hopefully, it will be the last time I have to say that. That content was totally unacceptable for a family magazine.

I too find it sad. I'm buy magazines to learn new things, or even to see cool pictures of Jeeps out wheeling... I really don't care about some guys blow-up doll, nor will I buy a magazine that prints pictures of them.

Really the magazine has had poor content for awhile. I doubt I need to remind readers of the "hardcore" tech contained within the "pranks on your friends" jeep article.
The mag seems to be doing more and more tasteless and pointless articles while at the same time reducing the amount of true tech contained within its pages. I will not be renewing my subscription. I find myself wishing it would run out so I would not have to be pained with the disappointment after opening it when curiosity gets the better of me.

JP is really falling downhill. When deployed to Iraq I used to love getting the magazines, JP being one of them. Now that I'm back, JP has turned from a magazine I pick up three times a day, and read it again, to something I will never buy. Get back to the point...Real Rigs, tech, and reviews. With the on-going battle of us four-wheelers trying to keep a good name...and a nationally published magazine goes and shows them exactly what they want to see. Great idea fella's. Primedia, find a new editor.

I don't like some of the stuff they print, but where else can I get a magazine dedicated to my favorite possesion?
I'll keep buying it. I'll just tear out the pages with the offensive material and mail them back to JP.
Give me an alternative mag to buy ... and I'll think about dropping JP.

That was great tech in the last issue. I never knew you could spray paint wheels or even a whole vehicle.

JP is turning to crap pretty quick. Where'd the tech go?? Many of the remarks in the "Mayhem Tour " article were over the line and not even funny at all. I subscribe to "JP" looking for Tech, not a bar hopping tour. Jeeps are my thing, not what they're writing about. It looks like I'll just stick to POR and NAXJA for all my jeep related reading. You can count on me NOT renewing my subscription.

I'd have to agree. I used to look forward to reading my new issues of JP magazine. It seems like they hit a wall on what to write on for the "average" jeeper and decided to just write about gibberish rather than provide new tech for the now hardcore Jeepers. Good thing we have boards like POR and Jeepsunlimited

I agree that the mag. is going down hill fast! Besides the lack of tech. and the "mayhem tour", will someone explain to Me why You would write 2 articles about painting and have the pics in black and white.
Bring back Freiberg or Pewe!!

seriously, how can one magazine ignore their reader's so much. the last couple i've read have had published hate letters printed in them, witha childish reply blowing them off. this last one was completely horrible. i didn't even bother buying it! john cappa needs fired for his total and complete disregard for his readers. he has taken this magazine and turned it into the world's worst rag. i wouldn't use it to wipe my ass. they have completely lost me as a reader. look on all the BB's and see what the general consensus is to this pile of crap, and see what your readers really think of it. keeping cappa as editor is the worst business move they could possibly make. i swear he must be the owner's nephew or something.

one more thing. it's good to see how far you've distanced this magazine from it's target audience, and great to see your helping promote keeping this a "family oriented sport", you're so far out in left field it's not even funny. next thing, you'll be printing an add urging us to all vote for Hillary. it's sad when they are complaining about your content, and immaturity on POR.

Yeah, I let me subscription run out this last August and now I'm glad I did - talk about loads of crap spewing from the pages...
Cappa must really be trying to lose his job...

I let me subscription run out because it was just turning to re-runs, irrelevance, and finally stupid childish pranks. I loved the meaningfulness of the test of the JackGuard case (they dragged it behind a vehicle and shot at it with a gun...very helpful...)
There was no tech content and I was beginning to feel like I was reading the bathroom wall in the boys room at elementary school...
Turning to crap? How about way past that...
