2000 AX-15 Wrangler Tranny issues

The transmission in my '00 Wrangler Sahara has started to grind when shifting into second gear. The dealership I took it to told me that the clutch slave cylinder is leaking, and that they would like to start with that before looking further. I had the transmission fluid changed two years ago. What is the most likely cause?

for statrers you dont have an ax-15, it is a nv3500. it could be a slave cylinder, syncro. do you know what fluid they put in it? it MUST have syncro-mesh oil in it. is there anything leaking in the driveway?
