Scroll down to the "sidebar article" section and there is a comprehensive chart about what fits and what you have to do to make a bigger tire work.

I run 33's with a 4.5 inch suspension lift and don't rub.

Now, be forewarned you will read a lot of strong opinions regarding the Dana 35. Many think it is not fit to unplug a toilet, however it can be built into a decent axle for less money than a -new- Dana 44, etc. and much less trouble than a junkyard franken-axle.

That said, 35's are pushing a Dana 35, especially if you are going to push your vehicle off road or add a locker. Your really only have a couple of choices, get stronger stock axles (Moser, Strange), a Super 35 kit, or the Warn full float conversion. I chose the Warn full floater, in the end the most expensive but I like it best because it is incremental, you can use any locker which fits into the Dana 35, you have the advantage of a full float axle with locking hubs, and in general the hubs will break before the axle or gears (a hub is much cheaper and easier to install on the trail than an axle. You pop off the tire, slip off the hub flange, slip on the new hub flange, re-install the tire). Remember, you can break anything if you -abuse- rather than -use- your vehicle.

Here is another link which sings the praises of the Super 35 kit with an OX locker.

Have fun and good jeeping
