I blow the 2.5 in my 97 Tj, my friend has a 87 2.5 remanufactured with like 17,000 on it. Think it will fit?

it might fit, but its not a legal swap to do. Its ok to put newer motors in older vehicals but not older motors in newer vehicals. You will have emission test problems, plus other stuff wont be right. Just rebulid yours or swap in a 4.0, its your safest and best way to go with the least problems.

not that many sensors in the block. keep your old head and manifolds, and that should be nearly everything. I think scap yards have interchange books. check to see what swaps
