Ok I got my wife an 83 Waggy Limited,  Good trade

The guy says the transmission was rebuilt.   Problem is it doesn't have reverse.  What should I look for?  I really want to get this thing up and running for her as she has allways wanted a Waggy.  Thank you all for your input, It will be about a week before I can put in much time on it.

Sounds like the guy who said it was rebuilt is a crackhead. I am no where near an auto tranny specialist. My guess is get a manual and open it up. send it somewhere that can.  

Thanks I wont get a chance for a bit, I just wasn't sure if when he rebuilt it maybe he left a valve body bolt loose etc... It's supposed to be a low buck project till I finish my car.  On one sight they said the kick down on the amc 727 could have something to do with it, and one of the rods underneath is disconected.  Thanks again.
