I am a newbie Jeep owner.  I am looking to learn what I can and to do myself whatever I can with my Jeep.

I purchased a 1980 CJ-5.  One little thing I would like to do is adjust the wipers so they don't hit the rubber moulding around the windshield.  Do these pop off?  Do you need special tools?

And the last part, what book would be the best for me to purchase.  Chiltons? Other?

Thanks in advance!!!

Eric

I personally like chilton manuals. I have always bought one for every car i've owned. I just recently got the one for my jeep and i was very happy with it. hope that helps

lift your wipers away from the windshield and then they should pry off with no special tool.they may be hard to get off if they have been on awhile then put them back on in the location you want them.keep in mind you have to keep them bent up away from the windsheild to get them on once they are on push them down against the windsheild locking them in place
