I just got a 93 4.0l auto ZJ and I am wondering if I can swap the manual tranny from my 88 4.0l XJ.
Does anybody know if it is possible?

Did you ask your dealer yet? The guys in the shop there should be able to tell you.
96 grand,3.5 Tuff Country,3/4 spacers,rusty's trackbar and mount,dual stabilizers,JCR rock sliders, Dynomax catback etc etc.

Thanks 96zj,
I always like to take the hard way.
I wanted to do it myself and I was wondering if anybody else did it before.
I can swap the whole assembly (engine/ transmission/ transfer case) if it is easier.
I am more concerned about the driveshaft and the gears.
Even if I go ask the dealer I would like have some info beforehand.

i WOULD CALL ADVANCE ADAPTERS. FIRST I WOULD GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM LOOK UP YOUR VIN AND TELL YOU EXACT TRANNY, TRANSFERCASE ETC SO YOU CAN TALK TO ADVANCE ADAPTER FOLKS INTELLIGENTLY.
