Because I have a TJ frame (roll over) good drive traine, 6 cyl and YJ great body, but blown 4 cyl bad frame.
Hoping to put the good YJ body on the good TJ frame.

I've heard of people putting cj's on tj frames and even 1 ton chevy frames (even seen one on ebay) so I would imagine it would be possible with a good welder some imagination and some fabricating

Well, of course it could be done, but you'll need to do a ton of fabrication. Just a few things off the top of my head:
- Body mounts won't line up
- Gas filler will need relocation
- frame is wider on a TJ?(not 100% on that one)
You might just be better off repairing the TJ body, or finding a new one. Besides, do you really want to do all that work and end up with a Jeep that, well, looks like a YJ? Of course, its your choice. I wish I had some more constructive info for you, I just think it will turn into a bigger headache than its worth. If you decide to go ahead, keep us posted, it should be an interesting project.

my guess is there is more in common between the frames than you think. you might as well pull both bodies off and see how close it is for yourself

I just finished doing it its not as bad as you think, all the body mounts need to be cut off shortened and moved 3cm the gas filler is no prob just get flexible hoses and use your yj location
