I am considering a 2003-04 Rubicon (dispite the garbage trucks article LOL)  but need to find out how to raise the 85mph limiter on it. If anyone has any advice please let me know thanks

GOD bless

This might help.

Jet has a speed Control Unit (SCU) module that is just the ticket. The JET SCU 2000 interacts with the vehicle speed sensor. It allows transmission shift points and speedometer calibration where tire size or gear changes have been made. An added feature that some may consider an important benefit, is that there is no more top speed limiter. Retail - $180

Keep in mind that the limiter is there for a reason.  constant high speed might not be good with that gearing/tire combination.

I rarely if ever exceed 85 mph in my 97.

The limiter is because of the tires. Most mud tires are only "rated" to 80 or 85 miles per hour.
