"First off, get it straight—a G string is not a bikini. Secondly, this woman's pose is highly sexualized—not the sort of image you'd expect in a Jeep magazine. And the direction Jp is going, they will have her naked in another issue or two." G String, bikini, whatever. Doesnt matter in the end. You know why?? Because it appeals to the CORE audience of the magazine. I doubt they will have her naked in any issue, so I hope that comment was sarcasm. "For once, I'd like a straight answer from a man: What would be your reaction to media that is saturated with highly sexualized images of men who are wearing next to no clothing? You turn on the TV and on many channels there are well-endowed men running around in speedos and thongs. There are men being raped and killed. You turn on your computer and your email contains unsolicited pornography (male nudity only). You go to the Web and your'e confronted with highly sexualized images of men in ads. You go to the newsstand and magazine covers are filled with provocative images of men. When women get sick to death of being portrayed as commodities (because the above scenario is not the reality) for the pleasure of men, we're called prudes, whiners, complainers. You try it for a while." Not gonna happen. Ever. No need to even think about how it would be. You want to know why?? Because sex sells. Period. Even women would find this sickening, and that isnt just a guess either. I asked 10 women at work, a diverse mix mind you. NONE of them found the idea of 1/2 naked men being spammed everywhere an attractive idea. "I think men don't get it because of one simple reason: They don't want to get it. These are the heyday for men, with stupid, lazy women selling themselves. Then again, that's the kind of work men pay us the most money for, isn't it?" There is nothing to "get". We are such a large audience, there is no need. Society has been this way since the beginning. I submit women dont get it. You know why? Most of the women I have seen complaining about attractive women being half naked and lazy, are in fact themselves unattractive and lazy. Fat soccor moms, who justify that extra 50lbs from having kids as something natural. Women who whine and complain about women being "objectified" and "ogled" when they are in fact NOT being objectified and ogled. They spend so much time worrying about what others are doing, they forgot to take care of their own business. Women who pose for these ads arent being abused. They worked hard to achieve their level of fitness. They VOLUNTEERED to get the picture taken. They VOLUNTEERED to work in a topless bar. What gives you the right to stop them?? Better yet, what gives you the right to police if others can see them, doing what they have CHOSEN to do?? Do us all a favor, and mind your own business. Stop trying to get the government to police what your kids watch, and see, and do it YOURSELF. Stop policing what I can see, and let ME decide. Do you realize that the US is one of the most prudish countries in the world?? Take Europe. They take the time to explain to their kids about nudity, sexuality, etc, instead of depending on the government to regulate it. Are they worse off for it?? Not from what ive seen from being over there. Most of the population over there are better educated, and better adjusted than most Americans. The whole point of my original post was to applaud your stopping the subscription. People nowadays in the US need to stop telling ME what I can see and do, and worry about themselves. I should be able to turn on an offensive show, and see half nude women if I wish. At the same time, I have the right to not subscribe to a magazine that offends me. If enough people do not watch a certain channel, or subscribe to a magazine, they will change or go out of business. Obviously you are on the wrong side of this battle. More and more obscene material comes out every day. Is it right?? Not up to me to decide. My only decision is whether to take part. I have no right to decide whether you can look at it though. The US has turned into a bunch of nosey busy bodies, and I truely wish it would stop.

Different points of view make the world better. Do you know how boring the world would be if everyone thought the same.

P.S we need to start some kind of organization for people like us

i think this we all scared away the people with "Holier Than Thou" attitudes...they ran off to kill our freedom to look...
i aint got kids (im 20)...but i can sure as #### tell you that i applaude you parents for being parents and not trying to be their friends...what i mean is that you guys know when to be parents and say no...but also u know how to bring up touchy subjects
this is a touchy one indeed...i can see where some people come from, that a girl like this is objectifying, but the only reason i dont like it is cause other Girls look at it and say "YECHH, is this what there all about? Then I don't want to be a part of it." not all girls...but most will say this
but the important thing is that little baby junior son of a *** is gonna see it anyway, and when a kid is sheltered and then is opened up to that, it treats him in a different way than someone that its been explained to
now i don't want parents out there thinking i am telling em how to do there job, because i wont know how to be a parent until i have a kid...but remember that no one knows how to be a parent cause all kids are different. the way i see it is that you have to unlearn and relearn everything (i know my brother and I made our parents do that quite a bit )
but if those of you that dont agree with what i am saying, remember i am a child (we all are) and all my friends and I have been raised differently...some sheltered and others not (i was a sheltered one) and when we see something like this, or hear something lude we all take it differently...so thats why i can sit here and justify saying it
and still more for those that don't agree with me...you were all children too...if you were raised by parents you know there are somethings you wish they did different to teach you (though they still did what they felt is best)...we are not the epitomy of our parents but we are the best to critique them...even though they dont like to hear it (i know mine don't)
still again i ramble on...but i only say this because i am a young adult...i live at home (i have no life...oops did i say that?) and i understand that parents can be wrong in certain ways, alot of times they just choose not to admit it (not many people can easily admit when they're wrong)
those of you that understand they way society is and choose to raise you children accordingy I thank you
so those of you that want to sheild your child and pretend nothing is going on...go ahead...i am not one to tell you how to do it, i was raised that way anyway...think of that though, before you say you dont like what i've said
MORE ZJs
oh personally i feel this thread is waering thin LoL so some more fighting would be nice haha just kiddin around

Wow you like to write!!! LOL. I really donot like the bree thing in the mag but It's really not that big of a deal. I just skip past it, so whatever.
What I was talking about (noone seemed to get it) was that It's a shame that the only girl on this board was turned off because some ppl had to be rude to her just because she had a different point of view! If we want more women wheeling and getting into this jeep thing then we need to start wecomeing them and realize they may think differently from time to time.
So what's my point? Well you can have a different point of view without being rude, just proof read your posts first before putting them up. Life is too short to be putting others down. PEACE.

i didn't put anyone down aside from myself man. i don't even read bree, but its like we've talked about before, it seems people think its kids my age, us college kids, that have done this stuff to JP
all i said that i was raised sheltered and my friends weren't, when things come about to sheltered kids, we react the way our parents dont want to, i never said anything bad, i am not telling people how to do their job, just sharing a life experience
