TJ wheel back spacing

Newbie questions:  I'm putting a 2 inch coil lift on my 02 TJ Sport and plan to get 32" BFG's on new rims.  A buddy suggested I buy a wheel with more (or maybe he said less?) back spacing so that the new tires will stick out a little further giving a tougher look.  My current tires are 30x9.5x15 so I think the 32x11.5x15 BFG's will already stick out enough but I'm interested in the possibilities.  I see that the wheel options for 15 x 8 are usually either 4.5 or 3.75 inches of back spacing.  Which one should I order and how will it affect my Jeep?  Can going wider cause any problems?

Thanks in advance.

you should be getting new fender flares either way.

I think 5.5" backspacing is what the stock 15x8 run. so I'd probably get the 4.5" ones. minimal backspaceing puts more stress on the wheel bearings. I've seen em fail in less than 2 years with stock size tires and wheel with little backspacing. the wheel bearings are probable the weakest link in the TJ's D30
