well im back again.... its been a while.... for those that helped me out on my tranny probs. thanks again for the help i have that all figured out.... but now i have a new thing happening.... and its comming on strong..... between 30 and 45 mph i am getting some pretty scary stearing shake over the littlest road bump....  i have looked and paid close attention to all my stearing links and bars and to me there is nothing loss... there is slight play in my stearing box from about 10:53 to 1:07 in the wheel and it has always been that way.... i dont have any idea what could be the cause but it is pretty bad when i have to take up the whole road and speed up to get of it. if anyone has any thoughts about the matter it would be of much thanks....

rotate tire from front to rear, that will confirm or rule out tires.

I forget if your lifted. did you check the alignment.

my guess is its a couple of little things coming together, maybe worsened by worn shocks.

well i just rotated the tires... they are about 6months old and that goes for the shocks as well... i have my sway bar uncuppled but did not think that that should matter any.... and you might be right about the alignment... my tires have some pretty unevan wear....

sounds like the same exact problem my jeep had and at the same mph. if your jeep is lifted and you didnt change out the stabalizer shock than it went out on its own. you should put in a bigger one to make up for the tires. mines when out right after i lifted my jeeps suspension 4 in. you can do it your self its really easy. it wouldnt hurt getting a dual-stabalizer either and they look really cool too so there u go.

some other things you may want to check would be the bushings in your front syspension

there is a slight possibility of wheel bering problems

the only other thing I can thing of would be the "king pins" or piviot point of the stering on the axle tubes

other than what everyone else has suggested .......... good luck!

I found that you can just soldier on if you can't afford a new steering stabilizer shock. Usually slamming on the brakes once or twice stops it. When that fails i resorted to running over curbs. That has never failed me. Make sure to frequently check every single bolt remotely related to your front end. I forgot to check for about a week and almost had my axle fall off. But slamming on the brakes and/or running over curbs has always worked for me. When broke, find another way to fix it. You may look like a drunk driver but it works right?
