Can purchase a 1991 jeep laredo 135,000 miles fully loaded all works has two holes in lower rockers. No other dents or rust. Interior in excellent shape. Does need bottom bolts put back in the tranny because of them working their way out. My girlfriends cousin is asking $2000. I was tol i can get it if i offer him $1500 cash. Is this jeep worth it? It has the 4.0   Thanks

To me it would be worth it if the frame is good.

Cant i take a air snip or grinder and cut out the bad spots and have someone weld good metal back in. Would that be ok the unibody would still be strong.. I went and looked at the laredo again the underside looks good we jumped it it fired up but ran alittle ruff they said they were told it is because the tranny bolts are out of it. I was told they would put the bolts in the tranny for me and let me hear it and test drive it if i was really interested. Or am i better off just saving for say a 1995 wrangler like i originally wanted. Or is their a better year wrangler to look for then the 95.  Thanks

I haven't priced em latly, but that sounds way high. the YJs stock dont stack up to a TJ stock in any way, and the 2.5 isn't worth near what the 4.0 is. I was thinking my 98 Sport with 2 tops, the tire and wheel package, a winch, and a Dana44 might be worth as little as $5000. I know I've seen other TJs go for less.
