Budget boost kits for TJ?

Help!  I was ready to buy a budget boost kit to raise my 06 TJ 1.5 to 3" but every kit I ask about on forums on the net, I am told that kit, maker of vendor can not be trusted or recomended.   Rocky Roads was shot down, Superlift was shot down, I have read a lot of complaints on lists about skyjacker, The Rubicon Unlimited kit only lifts the front wheels.  A co-worker has the Rocky Road kit on his unlimited and it is working well for him, of course the LJ is longer and heavier than my TJ so angles are not all the same.  A body lift won't help keep the undersides from dragging.  My Jeep is an 06 TJ "X", auto with no A/C and I bought 31" BFGs on aftermarket wheels.  What coil spacer type kit is safe to install?

Any spacer lift is safe. They are all the same, made from poly and you can get spacers from .75 to 2". Most "lifts" are the 2" with new shocks and bump stops. and will lift the front and rear.As far as companys go they are all good. Any big name company will do, some smaller companys are good as well such as rusty's offroad. Other add ons would be a HD ajustable front track bar and mount(rusty's offroad or kevin's) also longer swaybar end links or even discos. Most kits donot come with shock boots and I recomend you buy them. also a HD steering stabilizer would be good idea, rusty's is good.

Another thing to think about is that say in the future you want to run larger tires, more lift, you can still use the spacers along with some lift springs.

Good luck.

I really want a buget boost to level my tj out b/c im tired of my jeep looking like a stocker.  It just sags so much in the front. Im always upgrading something on my jeep. The reason i just want the 2 inch lift is so i dont have to put gears and axle upgrades and one more thing after another, for bigger tires. When i do put the 2in lift on im gonna run my 31 inch bfg ats. When those wear out im gonna buy some 32 1150's bfg mts.

Thanks!  at 2" is there any worry about needing to drop the transfer case, angles of the rear axle or any of that stuff?  If buying 1.75 spacers instead of 2" spacers will save me from having to buy transfer lowering kit, engine mount kit, axle angle adjusters, track bars and so on, then 1.75 would be how I go.  If 2" works fine then I might just go back to Rock Road: http://www.rocky-road.com/jeepbudget.html  it seems to be a lot of hardware for the money and it is working for a co-worker and his longer wheelbase LJ...

Try the FabTeck adjustable lift. I have it on my 04 Rubicon and it works great. You can set the front hight for a winch and leave the rear lower. All 4 corners are adjustable and uoy get shocks with this kit..

I've in the same boat.  I'm debating between the 2" spacer lift from Skyjacker and Trailmaster.  They're within 30 bucks of each other in the Quadratec catalog.  I guess both are very
good.  I'm just trying to figure which shocks are better.  They're at www.quadratec.com
