Yeah, drop the Jeep and your credit card off to me, and I'll surprise you.

Seriously though, that's a nice Jeep. I'd like to have a streetable Jeep again.

That all depends on which way you want to go with your jeep. When I started mine I went a local offroad shop and asked the magic question "where do I start",Man I ended up with so many choices that I didn't know where to start, so I went with what needed help the most, my diff's they both needed some work. I ended up putting in two dana 44's with superior axles, a dana trac lock in rear and a detroit truetrack up front , rear disc brakes, then a 2 inch coil spacer kit, shocks, steering stablizer, polyurathene bushings, tires, winch and a whole bunch of other little dodads(keep in mind this over a period of 3 years) as my budget permitted. Next will be better bumpers, a teraflex 3" suspension kit and 33x10.5x15 tires.  All of this makes a very streetable and very capable offroad jeep. Go with what feels right to you and your budget.  Take your time, do it right and have fun with it. That's what jeepin is all about  "fun".

Like I said I went according to my budget at the time, that $200.00 was spent so I could start wheeling right away, I could have waited but...    like I mention before ,take your time and plan things out and do what you feel is right. I was merely pointing out how hard it is to decide what mod is more urgent and how carried away we can get...

And I was only trying to help.

the most important and the first thing we tell are custumers is rollcage get rid of the death bars that connect to the windshield we have lost way to many jeepers to those bars just lost a really good friend he was driving on the street and someone clipped him and that death bar killed him instantlly.
ROLLCAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Start out with a 3 in  lift and some 33's. I started out with that and not only does it make your jeep look better but will allow you to take a few more trails than your stock jeep. After that you can add lockers, front and rear bumpers ect. As soon as I get a pic of my jeep I'll post it.

Not sure how big of tires you can put on with that but a good start is definatly bigger tires which the bodylift will allow you to do. Save up and get a decent lift especially if its a daily driver. The few hundred dollars you spend between the low end lift and the middle of the road lift is defiantly worth it.

Here is my jeep.

After paying the down paymetn, buying the tuff country lift, the 33" tires, side step rails (not in pic), paying for the divorce, buying and rehabbing a house, not much $ left to finish it like I want.  Too many to list, but my next steps are a tire carrier and winch so I can go off roand and get myself out if I get stuck.

Want list

Front and rear bumpers, upgrade gears/axels, winch, jack, lights (to go in the mounts I got), blah blah blah............................... times eternity.

Hey all, just found this forum and thought I would register and do some posting and reading.  I am going to try and post a pic of my 2 favorite toys; my 1988 Jeep Wrangler with an AMC 360 V8, TF 999 tranny, Dana 44's and Detroit's in both ends running a Dana 300 T-case twin sticked on 38.5 X 14.5 X 15 Super Swamper TSL's and a 6" Alcan spring lift with a 2" body lift.  My other toy is my 2003 Harley Road King, no lift on this one!
