I had a set of 33X12.50X15 on 10X15 alloy rims with and off set on my '97tj with a 2" lift. I have Lenex fender flares and the tires still stuck out past them. with stock axles you have a bigger chance of breaking your axle or having to replace your ball joints sooner.  Good luck, KC

Getting your tires to stick out passed your flares is more in the back spacing of your wheel than the width of your tire. you can mount a 31x 10.50 on a 15x8.5 wheel with 4.5 inches of back spacing and your tire will stick out about 3 inches passed. If you went up to a 33x 12.50 I would stick to a wheel that is no wider than 10".  If you go wider you will most likely pop a bead on the trail because a tire that is only 12.5" wide on a 12 or 15" rim is like "Big Mama" getting into a size 6 dress. She might fit now but eventually somethings going to give because of the stress.  A good rule of thumb is keep your wheel width around 2" narrower than your tire. This also helps keep your side wall closer to its original height. My advice is to choose a wheel with about 4" of back spacing.  CJ
