Yea i just work on my Jeep at my parents house 60 miles south of me, its easiest that way and thats where all my tools are at. Not to mention that my aprt wont let you work on your car here any way. Parents live on 5 acres and have a thing of 1 house to every 5 acres in their neighbor hood, so we dont have to see another neighbor, let alone if they have a dead car in the drive. Also helps for me as i got a shop garage i can work in so it dont take up my moms parking spot, though she still gets on my case about my Jeep, so thats kinda like my covenance thing...Yea the one yard i go to, its called "Pick-a-part" they are a great place. All cars are in lines, and you pull the part your self. makes parts cheaper that way also. I got a front bumper from them for like $35 i think?? cheapest place i could find, even beat out Ebay. Yea mine was used but hey it was better then what i had. Doors there are like $38 and come with every thing thats on them at the time you take them. so if ya need interior pieces and some glass, make sure its on there and ya can have a door, trim, regulator and glass for $38. Only down side is that they dont have many ZJs there, or WJs either. I counted some 10 XJs, but not one Grand... also nice thing about that is you can buy any vehical there and get a title with it. It will be a rebuild title, or you can have it made into that any way. Theres another yard about 30 min south of my parents and they let you walk it, but if ya need a part, they pull it for you, which makes the cost seem to like double for some reason...you think that it wouldnt cost so much to pull some thing...

Im hopin to get my ZJ freshend up some here soon as theres a Grand Slam goin on in Oct over here. Its slowly comin together, so we'll see how many Grands come to it. Seems like so far its about 4 maybe...all ZJs. Could be a intresting time, seein all these ZJs gettin bashed around and dirty...Intresting as in a fun time

Yea ive seen pics of yours on NAGCA. Im workin on gettin a snorkle set up a little like yours. Mine is 1993GrandZJin since this one i have here was already taken i guess...Other things im workin on for my ZJ is im gonna order the Kevins radiator support/tow points for my grand here later this week and also im workin on gettin a winch hooked up and workin on the rear of my ZJ. Kinda strange to have a rear winch, but not a front one. (already had the winch, came off my dads 79 GMC 1/2 ton) Winch works great, for being as old as it is, dads had it since new in like 1980 or so. Good Ol' Warn winches. Its too heavy for my front, not to mention too tall, as its the original style they had that was upright. Down side to the rear like ill have it is that i wont be able to open the hatch with it on...

I donot go to NAGCA very much when I do I mostly just read. I just ordered a Dynomax super catback exhuast for it and I'm putting new fan belts on. i have to get a inspection next month anyways so.... It should sound good with the exhaust. I would like to get rusty's TB spacer and a banks header and new cat but it all takes time and lots of money LOL.

I just got a call from my local speed shop and dynomax isn't makeing zj catbacks anymore . The shop said they can get me a borla for 600 bucks(can) but i didn't want to pay that much. I'm waiting to hear back from a few other shops next province over. Worst case I'll by rusty's kit which is a flowmaster mufler, tail pipe. for 206 usd plus shipping. If I do go to rustys I'll get their high flow cat as well and TB spacer....cat is 150 usd and tb spacer is 69usd..........money,money, money!! LOL! It will never end!!! LOL
for all the rusty's stuff I have bought, They should give me dealer price LOL

HAHA yea i hear ya there. I figured ya were the 1996ZJ on NAGCA. Mines 1993GrandZJin. Yea im buildin my Jeep up some for a Grand Slam thats comin up out here on Oct 13, 14 and 15th. Im orderin Kevins front radiator support for my front recovery, and im buyin a used XJ front drive shaft as a spare for like $25 USD. Im also workin on gettin my dads old winch off his GMC 1/2 ton to fit on the back of my Jeep. its wierd to see a rear winch before the front winch, but ya do what ya gotta do. Sucks you have to have inspections. Im lucky that i dont have to do those. I went and bulit my self a shelf for the rear cargo area over the weekend, it takes up the area from behind the drives seat to almost the very back. Left a small area just big enough to put my cooler in the very back. As soon as i get back from my vacation here in about 2 weeks with some friends, im rippin out the rear seats for good and gonna keep my shelf back there full time. I plan on boltin it to the floor so if i do ever roll nothin will come and get me. In all my jeeps gettin a nice make over and its slow enough of one my mom just kinda doesnt notice it, or at least she acts like she dont notice it. Im hopin to have some rock sliders before the grand slam, but im not sure how possible that will be...Between moving to a new place and other bills money is tight right now for all that i want... Darn that money thing again...

Dyno max emailed me and they do carry a catback part# 17403. i'll be ordering that.
A guy at work just bought a gmc s 10 with a 3 inch bl and 31's. He wants to get rid of the 31's and use a more streetable tire. I may buy his tires from him and use them as offroad only tires as they look just like BFG crawlers! They mite be geolanders or whatever. I already have a spare set of wheels.
Also there is a cool(no pun intended) website called www.icelandoffroad.com they have the only fender flares for zjs!! they aren't cheap but they are cutout flares so you can run up to a 33 tire on a 3" lift!! I'm going to get them for sure when I paint my truck. Let me know what you think of their bumpers........

Yea at first that bumper seems cool...but its fiberglass. same with the flares and yea around here... Yea that dont work well. Between the tight trails with lots of trees and slick rock, i like to have some thing thats nice and solid. If i was livin down in like Arizona or some other flat state thats mostly high speed desert then yea i might get the bumper. For here, we need some thing that can push the down trees outta the way when they are blockin the trail, not to mention push idiots off the road when they get into accidents and are blockin the freeway durrin rush hour. For me, ill stick to keepin my ZJ with out flare and with out mudflaps. But if they work for you, then thats good. Laws here arnt as strict in some other places.

the bumper looks good but I guess it's for street or mild wheeling, I mean you can't even put a wench on it! I mite be buying this to install a wench on my truck,it's cheaper then a full bumper and wench combo... www.detoursusa.com backbone system....

That looks like a pretty good alternative to a full on bumper. I might have to look into makin some thing like that. sucks being poor and on a budget, but makes for the best builds. I might also wait till i get the $$ and get me the Hansons front bumper and the now availible rear bumper...have a nice matched set.

nice. Yea i need to paint my hood...ok well my whole jeep needs a paint Job. If it wasnt for my highlift damaging the side, it would just be the hood. Yea my hood is peeling on me. Along each side its losing its clear coat and it looks pretty funny as its got white stripes where its comin off =( i think its a Daimler Crysler thing with my yr though...
