Yea if i didnt have my family helpin me out some what finacially i wouldnt be able to afford it. Plus with me workin from 330pm till 12am, and school from 8am till 230, i dont have much free time durrin the week to spend my money, so when the weekend comes around, i am so tired i dont want to do any thing so i dont spend my money then either. My dad told me i cant buy the bumper till i have enough to buy the winch also and he has the final say when i can buy it, so he may change his mind and tell me no...So i may or may not get my bumper when i want it...

So yea i got my front and rear track bars all dialed in, brakes bled, lift coils on it now, road tested it seemed fine, alingments messed up pretty good...wheels about 180 from where its suppost to be. It drove fine once i figured out the wheel thing, and was doing fine till i hit the freeway and about 3/4 of a mile or so down it, at about 60ish, i got that infamous death wobble...and yea it sucks. and sucks is a mild term for it. I thought my jeep was gonna fall apart on me and at first thought some thing had come loose till i pulled over and looked at it, saw all was fine and thats when i realised it was that "death wobble". SO for the 3rd week now im not able to drive my jeep, gotta rely on borrowing the parents car they tryin to sell again. I got some fixed LCAs from Rustys on order, spent the extra $ for 2 day shipping to make sure i have them by next weekend. Once i get those on, ill pull the sterring wheel and make it straight and then in a few weeks or so, when i get some $$ ill take it in for an alignment. Since im borrowing the parents car, i had to kinda make a deal with my mom that i wouldnt be adding any more to my jeep till i get another car later this yr...so yea no winch or winch bumper for me any time soon it looks like. But hey, at least my Jeep looks good sittin in the garage with all its new parts...

How hard was it puttin on your LCAs?? think ill be able to put them on with out jacking it up off the ground?

Dude you must get a alinment right away!! That is the next step and it's not that expenseive! It will stop alot of your "death wobble" and keep your tires from wearing out. I know, I when't through it!! also make sure your wheels and tires are balanced. After all that it still will not be as good as it was before the lift, but I think it's worth it.

So what's up with your dad telling you how to spend your money?? You work for this money right? Do what YOU want it's yours. Pay your parents some money every week or every month for you living with them, then do what you want to. I lived at home when I had my trans ams, I did what I wanted with my money......

PS I been haveing trouble with my pc so If I'm not on in a few days you know why.I'm also starting a local jeep club and just yeasterday got called back to work!

Yea its not so much my dad as its my mom. They have me on their insurance and help out with some of my bills as i do live on my own right now. And i do see there point, as my jeep does have 235,000 miles on it and im trying to save up for another truck. So the more i spend on my jeep now, the less ill be able to save up and thus i wont be gettin that truck i want any time soon. Also when it comes to my jeep, i have to commute with it 15 miles each way to work and if it breaks, i cant always rely on them for a back up car, as the one im driving, we are trying to sell and my gramp uses his truck more now in the summer time.  I will be gettin some LCAs from Rustys here on friday so this weekend ill be puting them on and then im hoping to take it in on Monday to get an alignment as i can see how bad that it does need them. Even if the deathwobble would have been cured and fixed by the alingment, i was noticing that my LCAs appear a lil bent and tweaked from when i got stuck with it on the log.  So yea Im hoping i can get it all dialed in over the long weekend and have it back again finally.

Yea i know i can have it rebuilt, but hell its only a ZJ...It cant tow all that i want it to tow. Im wanting a camper, and boat, so ill need a truck to tow them along with my snowmobiles. I can pull mine and my dads dirt bike aight, till i come to the mountains and then she gets down to about 55ish over the passes. We have some steep mountains around here and it would just be better to have a truck as my ZJ cant do it all. I mean its pretty capible now as it is, but still leaves a lil to be desired.

All you need is some bolt on power adders, a tranny cooler and new gears you'll have no trouble towing with a 4.0 ZJ. Unless you are towing like 20,000 pounds or the like! LOL

Im not a traitor. I mean I will be getting a DECENT truck...you know, a CHEVY...My GF wants a Dodge, so its not like were getting some thing that is Found On Road Dead all the time...Besides that, it will just allow me to wheel my Jeep harder and take it to new extreams and then be able to still make it home if i flip it or some thing...Also when i get a new (at least to me) truck, my mom will stop yellin at me and tellin me im wastin my money on my Jeep, as she dont like me workin on my Daily driver all the time. And yes she can yell at me since i do use their shop space and i some times go outta my set area and into her area...Plus as they say "its a Jeep thing, you wouldnt understand" and she dont...

Ive had Ford and Chevy and my gramps has a dodge. I still like Chevys over Fords, as they ride a bit better and my family has always owned for the most part, chevys. Nothin against Ford, just not my cup of tea is all
