Hey now, lets not make fun of us "kids" yea i know theres a lotta "kids on there 16-20ish. My self, im 23. But yea I know what you mean. Ive learned who and who not to look at post from, unless i want to have a good laugh. Im tryin to control my self and not post smart a$$ answers to stuff.

As for my 35's i plan on making my own long arm lift. Ill put a chunk of C channel down the "frame" on both sides, make a full belly pan, a transfer X-member, make my own long arms and buy lift coils of like 7" and combine that with my spacer lift. As for mounting it all together, welding with me isnt a issue as im Welder/Fabricator buy trade. Ill soon be certified by the great state of Washington in a couple differnt wire feed methods. I figure if 35's rub, then out comes the sawzall. As for legal, well we for one, dont have state inspections here, and two, head lights are required to be at 72" or under i believe to be legal. Same with tail lights. With my custom bumpers, ill just build them how i want to and deal with the police later. Mainly. when im done building my ZJ, Its gonna be trailerd to and from the trails, just incase i break some thing, and to have less police hassle me...

Na...Once i get all the material, wont take me more then im guessin 2-3 weekends to build it. Maybe 4 weekends, dependin on how much unexpected stuff comes up. Im already workin on figuring out all the geometry angles and every thing right now. But it wont be fully done for at least a yr from now. When it is done, it will be done done, and i can just focus on wheelin it, and restorin other cars. Yea i know, i like to think big... =)

Yea. Ive also looked at the Kevins and the Claytons long arm kits. I have looked at the claytons more then Kevins, and i like the look of that one also. Rustys looks like a nice kit also. But if i price it out, and see how much all the parts are going to cost, and then figure in my time, if its cheaper to just buy a long arm set up, im going to do that instead of building my own. Ill go with some thing like 7" and then add my BB spacers that are sittin in the garage to net me some thing like 9".

Too many plans, not enough money...

9" lift zj........tippy! I think all you need is 5.5 and some fender triming to get 35's under there....I want to keep my tires no bigger then 33's to keep the cost down.

Yea i was just on NAGCA and there was a new pic of a ZJ on 9"s and 35s and yea it looks like its a bit much. Im thinkin that 5.5-6" will be enough to get me some 35's.  Im definatly not affraid to hack apart my fenders, as that in the works for a weekend here soon.

Looks like this forum is dying out. I havnt been here in a while since i havnt had a computer for like the last several weeks. Newest thing for my ZJ is that im selling it. For my career i needed a truck more then a SUV and with marriage on the way, i have to pick what toys are cheaper for me to deal with...so it came down to keep the dirt bike, get a truck and sell the ZJ. Just hoping i can find some one to buy it...Askin $2500 and its got around 240,000 miles on it, a 93 with the 4.0 and about 3.5" of lift. Seems like a fair price i guess for it. It will be a sad day when i do sell it and im sure ill miss it, but hey, i still have my dirt bike so i can always trail ride that. Not to mention if i blow my bikes motor it will cost about $500 to FULLY fix it, where the ZJ is like $2500... Plus its kinda hard to bend plastic fenders on the bike and have them be totalled out.

Dirt bikes have been in my blood since i was born. Been riding since i was like a yr old with my dad, and on my own since i was like 2 or 3. So being 23 now, thats a lotta yrs around them. Not to mention my dad and some other family rides. The jeep has been with me for only 3 yrs so yea its kinda a easy choice to make for me. Plus i got a free truck if i sold the jeep and i can use the jeep $$ for what ever i want. Which most of it will be goin to pay off the engagement ring i got my fiance. Yea its a hard choice and i at times miss that ZJ but maybe another day ill go and buy like a WJ maybe...who knows.
