Ok so i have a 93 zj with 4.0 and 231,000 miles on it. I installed a spacer lift about 2 yrs ago. I measured it and it was about 1 3/4" of lift. I run 31's on my zj. I have been dealing with a lot of tire to fender top rub lately. I was at the wrecking yard and saw a 94 ZJ that i bought all 4 coils from. I then took out my rear coils and spacers and i put in the front coils on the rear end. So i have the stock coils with spacers up front and the 94 front coils w/o spacers in the back. When i set the rear coil sittin on spacer next to front coil i had about 1 1/2" more out of the front coil. So i THOUGHT i was going to get about 1 1/2 in more lift, maybe 2 at the most. Well i got 3". Before hand, from top of fender to the shop floor was 33 1/8" on Drivers side and 33 5/8" on Passenger side when sittin on my 31's at ride height. i am now at 36" on drivers side and 36 1/2 on passengers side, with my front end sittin way lower then my front. So if i do the math right....I have gone up 3" from the spacer lift, which was already sittin about 1 1/2" up from stock.  So when adding those together that would make it 4" of lift then i have in the rear. But that dont seem right, as i thought adding front coils to the rear would only lift it maybe 2" at most.  So my deal is now i need to figure out how much lift i have. If there are any ZJ's out there runnin 31's and any lift, can you tell me what your wheel well to ground mesure is. Cause i need to now find the right lift for the front to leval it out as its kinda funny lookin to drive with the ass end up and the front low...its got that hoty rod/lowrider raked look to it. I am thinkin i have about 3" of lift as i think my stock coils were severly sagged out...ANY HELP at all would be great...Thanks to any and every one that reads this and can help as i am so confused now...

one side note is that my shocks still have about 2 1/2" of movement outwards to go before full extension so shocks will be fine for now i guess, thought it does appear that i need a drop track bar or some thing for the rear now...

Thanks again every one...

Sounds strange to me. I donot think you can get 4" lift this way but what do i know......wht's your email and I'll send you some pics of my truck so you can compare. BTW any pics of yours will help too.

To be honest here's what I'd do. go out and buy a set of OME 2" lift springs front and back. then buy spacers for the rear to match the front. Next new shocks(longer) if you donot alraedy have them.rusty's offroad HD steering stabilizer, and a drop bracket or better yet a new track bar front (bracket in rear). When you can aford it new longer lower control arms and swaybar endlinks. this should get you 3 to 4" lift depending on spacers, new springs better ride, and even out your ride. The only other thing to do is to add or remove spacers to level out your truck, or just put it back to stock untill you can aford a lift kit. If you go with a kit the one i have from Tuff Country is good and cheap. I bought mine from suspenionconnection.com I got mine for around 600 Canadian with their shocks and boots. not bad. and is a nice 3.5" lift.

Yea the more i look at it, im thinkin that its around a 3 in lift. I think that even though i had some Daystar coil spacers (between spring and body) and it lifted me 1 3/4", i think that my stock coils were shot and super sagged out, so the spacers were just holding me at around stock height...

My Email is Cookchase4@comcast     I will try and to get some pics of my Jeep now with this wierd look to it. Im lookin at a new front track bar as mine is worn out, and for the rear im lookin about a drop bracket.  Im hoping to get this all fixed here before too long since I am heading on a vacation in aug down to Crater Lake Oregon. some 300 miles or so each way, and last thing i wanna deal with is a jeep load of camping gear and people and having to worry how bad the rear end is gonna "dog walk" on me...

Its all good they are big, didnt take more then 1 second to down load them with the net that i have. Yea my Jeep at least in the rear is sittin at where yours is sittin. Now picture yours w/that lift in the rear and like almost stock up front...and thats what im dealing with right now...and yes my 31's some how still fit, though i have had to trim a little off the front bumper. I was able to get the bumper off the 94 i took the springs from so i have a full bumper once again, minus the little trimming i had to do to clear the tires.
