have a 79cj5 with the stock 258.... would like to move to the motorcraft2100 carb.  is there a ford car/truck year &model that i might find one that i could rebuild, or if i go the new route any ideas on what to ask the parts dealer for??

any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

I Just installed the Motorcraft 2100 on My 86 CJ7.  Awesome Upgrade for the price.  I got mine off of e-bay from a guy who sells them all the time.  It comes with everything you need- adaptor plate, air filter, choke options and exellent instructions.  It is on e-bay right now for $295.00, item #8064227070.  Good Luck
