I want to wire an on/off switch to the dome lights so when I take the doors off the lite doesn't stay on. Has anyone done this?  

there is a fuse you can pull  

this is a good ? and i have the perfect answer. in the fuse box in the inside of the glove compartment you can pull the fuse that is the lowest all the way to the right fuse and it will cut them off. or you can buy that same switch that u are talking about that is made specifically for this  from either jeep essentials, or quadratech(4 wheel drive parts mag) i cant remember which one. i think its under 25 bucks. i do the fuse thing because i dont take my doors off that much but i would do that switch that is made exactlyfor this reason and has instructions on how to do so if i went doorless all the time 

I rarely take my doors off, put the fuse has been gone for years. its not that much hassle to turn on the dome light manualy the few times I want it on.  

even if u have the switch ur still gonna have to have a fuse to put in there so it will work. if u have no fuse (which ur running right now) and a switch ur gonna have no lights to start with and no lights when u turn the switch on  

read the manual. move a fuse and you can run without doors, and turn on the lights manualy. if you want to replace the fuse with a toggle, go ahead, I don't think its worth the hassle  

do you know were there may be another fuse, my dome light and radio went out and the fuse box seems to be fine? any hidden fuses?  

What year?

There is a difference between the years for the dome light/doors removed fuse thing.  

i made my own switch exactly like the one quadratech has i just saved 25 bucks and made my own its sooo easy its unreal
