I am in the middle of a re-build & am about to drop my T-150 3 speed and Dana 20 transfer case to bebuild them.  Should I swap the T/C or tranny now?????  I know it does not have a good crawl ratio, but I don't do much crawling.  Actually, I don't do much off roading since I parked my rig.  79 CJ-5, I have had it since 82, it was my daily driver for 15 years or so.  Then I parked it & am re-building it in my "spare time" (not much of that with a 2 & 4 year old).

now is the time to do a swap if I a going to.

I don't really have anything to help you, but I have a jeep that needs much attention, and 2 kids (7 months and 4 years old).

I hope someone can help you, because time to work on the jeep is precious.
