I have a 97 TJ with 2" superlift coil spacers, and 1" body lift. 31" mudrovers. After the body lift install notice pretty good rattle at low idle and rutts in road. This banging feels like it is under the driver's side floorboard. I checked and do not have anything loose. However the motor mounts appear to have gap in the rubber bushing and steel mount. Problem, can't find 2.5 liter motor mounts in performance cats. Will 4.0 liter mounts work, if so should I use 1" raised?

check out quadratec.com they have motor mounts. if you have spacers on your trans case skid plate by using the 1" mounts you should be able you raise your skid plate back up to stock.

Thanks for responding. After reading your reply. I think that I might need to shim my transfer case down maybe 1" first to see if this solves the problem. I was talking to a friend and he said the gap I have in bushing to mount is typical. My tranny mount is ok per test in manual. What do you think?

Tell you the truth I am not sure. I have a '97 TJ with the 2" coil puck lift and run 33x12.50x15 with out a body lift or transfercase spacers and have had no problems with it on or offroad. Stock body spacers are rubber, and never having a body lift could the harshness of the ride be from the harder 1" pucks. If so the stock spacers might have been taking up some of the shock. Let me know if you figure it out becouse I was thinking about a 1" body lift for my TJ.
