35 Year old female wanted a jeep forever...now I have found one I could afford in GEORGIA...Kid tells me the transfer case is bad so the jeep runs but no go... had to send the money for the jeep today to hold and make it mine...haven't seen even a PICTURE BUT IT IS A 1991 wrangler with a 4cyl/5 speed for 1600.00.... Ya'll tell me to chill please....can't go get her till next weekend.... VERY nervous...any input would be appreciated... Thanks Michelle  

ANY input? Ok, you're nuts...but chill either way; you could always put a stop on the check (unless it was a money order in which case you're not nuts, you're screwed). Hoping for the best for you. Remember, all good things come to those who wait, unless you have more money than you know what to do with, then you don't have to wait.  

Well, congradulations on the purchase. Luckily for you, this model jeep is easy enough to turn from lemon to lemonaid. With the T-Case done for, you might as well go all out and buy a new one suited for whatever you wanted to buy a Jeep for. For a GREAT T-Case, your looking at around 1k for the t-case and about 400 for the install. Dont get me wrong, 1k is not as high as they go, but it is by no means as low as they go. If all else is well, you got one hell of a bargain. I got my 90 wrangler for 3200 and had to spend 1k just to get it to pass inspection. As long as there isnt much (or none) body rust, you will probably be happy with the purhcase. I sincerely wish you the best of luck.

Well i'm glad you bought a jeep good choice! If its got bad t-case phone some wrecker's and look for a np231, it'll run you a couple hundred but your best option you don't want to spend too much till you know what you got! besta luck to ya, I'd sell you one but i live in canada bye now

not bad i also have a 91 with a 4 cyl and 5 speed its a good jeep the trans are crap but most of it is good there are some factory recalls you might what to look in to. i do have a tcase to sale if youre intrested but i like in cali.   the 4 cyl is a good strong eng with great torqe.  i have 7and half inch lift with 33, it slow on the road but it never has any problems on the trail.  be worned it will empty you pockets. 

your getting bad deals i think t case is like 200 bucks around here and a case of beer to install thats like 215 bucks and a drunk buddy.
