Hi i have a 1988 Jeep Comanche pioneer 2wd with what i belive to be a dana44 axle, this is my first truck i was was quite dissapointed today when i pinned it and spun 1 wheel, it looked quite stupid.  I was just wondering if anyone knows what is involved to convert this axle to a posi(if it is at all possible) where to find the parts, and the approximate cost of the project

Thanks so much -Jordan-

there are all sorts of limited slips and locker availiable in the aftermarket. the OEM option is a clutch type limited slip, and is probably inferior to any of the aftermarket options. something like a Detroit trutrac is probably best loose sand and mild mud. a locker in usualy used with rocks or drag racing. If they still make it, stay away from the Detroit Gearless locker. I've heard nothing but bad about it.
