The new section, "Ask Bree Three" sucks. Every month there are fewer and fewer pages of the magazine that are worth looking through. When I want to look at material such as that I go buy Maxim or something along those lines. I actually think that John and Christian have a lot to offer the magazine and hope they stick around, but if the magazine continues down the road that it is on then it would be much better off for the readers if they were both replaced.
FIX JP MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!

WAA, WAA, WAA. What are you jealous because you can't have her? There's two thing's that were made to go together, hot chicks and hot cars/trucks/bikes/planes/etc. Its a fact of life. As long as she knows her stuff, print her advice articles. If not, just print her photos. Welcome Bree. ;-)

You are dead right with that man. This is a TRUCK(JEEP) mag!!! I want to know how to wrench on my ZJ ,not how to ask some T and A girl her sign!!
...And whats with all the LAME wise cracks in almost everything these guys write? Why can not they just discribe a jeep without putting some poor owner down in the process?(reader rides)

DUDE!! WHEN DID I EVER SAY JEEPS ARE NOT COOL??? Before you write somthing about someone at least READ what I DID SAY! I wouldn't be here if I didn't LIKE or OWN a JEEP now would I.
I just donot believe this mag needs bikini girls in it. Thats NOT why I subscribe to it. Like the other guy said, If you want that go buy Maxim or stuff mag.

Like I stated before, when i want to see hot women I go buy a Maxim, Playboy, Perfect 10, etc. When i want to read about Jeeps I buy a JP. When there are pages with this crap in it I feel like I am getting ripped off. Each page of nonsense like this takes away from real articles about Jeeps. It just seems like each issue has lees and less good stuff and more lame filler. These guys are not as funny as they would like to be.
How would you feel if you went and got the new issue of Playboy and they started cutting out the pictures and info on the women and began adding articles on what the Jeep Magazine Editor likes or drives?
Who will be the first LIAR to say that they would be fine with that?
When you read a mag like Playboy or Maxim you want to see some T & A. When you read JP you want to see bumpers, axles, etc. I do not have a problem with offending people and such. I have a problem my favorite magazine that used to be filled with good articles and pictures becoming a tool for some of you to "yank your chain" to.
Maybe they should rename the magazine JP Tits & Ass if that is the direction they want to go.

I AGREE THE MAG. IS TOO SHORT TO HAVE FILLER BUT I DO ENJOY A GOODLOOKING WOMAN IN A MAG. MY SUGGESTION IS MAKE THE MAG BIGGER. WHEN I GET MINE EVERY MONTH IT IS READ COVER TO COVER IN TWO DAYS. THEN REREAD UNTIL THE NEW ONE SHOWS UP . I ENJOY EVERY PAGE!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

I can't believe you guys can actually compartmentalize your lives to that degree. "OK, I'm in the mood for THIS right now" "Oops, now I want to concentrate on THIS" "Wait, NOW, I feel like THIS!"
When I pick up a JP, it's some "me time" - I scam the pics, tech, lame-ass jokes and all - and when I flip a page and see a gal, I don't feel all pist like I've been ripped off, It's a bonus. I can veer my concentration to and fro between several of my interests - no need to focus, focus FOCUS on any one at a time. I guess I am capable of multi-tasking, as is JP. Same with Playboy, Penthouse or Maxim, Stuff - you name it. They are "Gentlemen's Magazines" that concentrate on the lovelies, BUT ALSO HAVE NON-CHICK CONTENT! Do we rag on THEM for having interviews, reviews, and news articles??!! HELL NO! The don't put all of their eggs inthe "babe basket" and no one would expect them to. Why, praytell, should JP devote pages STRICTLY to Jeep stuff. Are we soooo friggin devoid of other interests in our lives (or the capacity to venture in and out of them) that we can't stand to see more than one ienterest in one magazine? Give me a goddamm break.
And another thing. Who said that JP withholds any tech articles to make room for the chiquitas? I would think that they print everything they can responsibly put together. Between the travel, research, inevitable meetings, and other time-consuming chunks of corporate life (not to mention the "hands-on" time that we demand - and that gives them credibility in our eyes), just how many articles do you think the what, 4 or 5 folks can toss together?
I personally subsribe to "Four Wheeler", "Four Wheel and Off-road", "Military Vehicles Magazine", "Automotive Engineering", and "Off Highway Engineering"; and purchase over-the-counter "Off-Road" and "4WD & Sport Utility". All of these rags have their strong points and their not so strong points. JP is my "let-loose" magazine of choice. With it, I can relax, take an irreverant (and sometimes juvinile) look at this hobby. And see a chick once in a while. I guess I view this mag as the "young upstart" of the biz. Not totally refined, not totally "with it", and definitely not arrogant. JUST LIKE SOME OF THE NEWCOMERS TO THE HOBBY!!!!!! I'm not ready to wash my hands of this magazine, or the "kids" starting to show up on the trails. Just by being different from the old guard, they bring something to the table. And THAT, for me, makes them welcome at the table.
For the record, the Bree 3 thing was OK for visual, but did suck bag for verbal content.
(NOW can I have a sticker!!!!????)

What gets me is not that they put girls in the mag but HOW they doit. I want to see a hot babe who OWNS a jeep and tells us readers about what is or isnot built on it etc.

You're bitching about an advise column that takes up one page in the back.
Seems a bit up tight to me.
I love the casual atmosphere of the mag. It's not all business. One could say juvenile, but I just see it as free spirited, open minded, easy going. One thing that makes it about my favorite mag, and I subscribe to a few 4x4 mags.
There may be the conformist sport utes in the Jeep line, and even the Wrangler is becoming cushy (A/C in a Wrangler??), but when I think Jeep I think the old CJs, and the free spirits that drove them. bare bones interiors that could sit in the pouring rain. Take the top off on a nice day, leave the doors behind, hair in the wind, foot propped up on the door jam, radio playing if it worked, just doing nothing but cruising. I think the general atmosphere of the mag has that same laid back approach, and I say don't change a thing..Well.. Except there are other ways to offroad besides climbing rocks.
I thought Bree looked good sitting on the hood of that old truck.

What are these "rocks" that you speak of? There could be some around here, but they tend to hide under dirt and mud.

I'm with you! My last issue had exactly 2 pictures of hot chicks (Bree and the "Sin a Little" girl on page 66). I don't think that quite qualifies as Playboy material. I think JP does okay at marketing to a broad audience.
Oh wait, I got it! How about letting Bree cover some off road events or teaching her how to wrench on a Jeep? Then us horny hetro males can still have the hot chick and the puratins can have thier way with Jeep only articles.
Of course, as more women are starting to break into the off road world, does that mean the JP staff needs to get into the weight room and do more than 12 oz curls? Uhhhg.....think Bree, think Bree...
Now as far as that Wrangler comment, my AC does not work worth a d....n with the top and doors off. Of course right now it's raining inside it, but it's not the first time. That's why it has drain plugs in the floor! Maybe the engineers on the CJ already figured out that AC thing and were just saving you the $800? Just pulling your CJ chain a little.
