Here's the deal, my transmission sounds like a saw cutting through formika. It's a 2005 wrangler (of course) with a 4.5 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body lift. I put on a slip-yoke eliminator and a 1 inch transfer case drop. I'm not sure if it's the ax-15 tansmission because it's the new 6 speed. Any clues as to what this sound is? I know it's the transmission, but do you think it's the rear bearing or a problem with the gears? Also, does any one know where to get a rebuild kit for it?

I'd leave it but it just started doing it. which tells me thats it only going to get worse. Between 57mph and 65mph you almost need earplugs to drive it. I was on my way back from FL when it really started sounding that way. I wouldv'e stoped but I didn't have the money for a tow truck so I just kept going.

It would be but I think i vioded the warinty with the lift and 1 inch drop spacer.
Yup, just checked today and warrenty is void. Also found out that the model is NSG370, not the AX-15. So does anyone know where to get a rebuild kit for it? I can't find one anywhere.

your warantee is NOT voided they can only void the warantee if you messing around caused the problems. I don't see how anything you did would cause the tranny to break. this is a very well established law.

groo is right,i did some searching when you said it was void,if the lift was done to proper spec's,the fault lies with jeep.you can alter all you want within the guidlines of the spec's of the modification and the warrenty.and when i asked about the warrenty and a lift theres nothing there to support it being void.id go back to the dealership and raise some hell, what they are doing is putting you off till the warrenty expires so they dont have to fix the problem, and then you are screwed.that and mention the better business beauru, and i think they will get the point you are not there to listen to bullsh!t,you mean business.

The trick is to find a dealer who is friendly to modified rigs. It may take some effort, but let your fingers do the walking (don't waste good gas)... When you call the dealer, ask to speak to the service manager. Then, explain your situation and get a feel for how willing they are to take your case.
Here's a tip, a good ice breaker is to first find out if they take their own rig off-roading or racing. Usually, the ones who modify their rides will be more likely to take on a modified rig still under warranty. My experience is that small town dealers tend to be a little more flexible, but here in Houston I found a dealer who "actually" values customer service and understands the law; that the burden of proof that the mod did the damage is on them.
Show me a dealer who jumps on the "warranty void" band wagon and I'll show you a [stealer] who is either ignorant, doesn't care about the customer, has a crappy technical staff, or just doesn't have a lick of business sense. I may have missed a few, but I think you get my point.
It is my understanding that about the only thing the consumer protection laws will be grey on is if you modified the OBC programming, which is why most good tuners allow you to back up to the stock program leaving no traces.
