Dear Mr Ed

A couple of things. First, can you get the web tech people to change the default of the posting back to groupings. It's really annoying to have to click on to every new post instead of just reading down like it used to be.  Yes, I have that as a preference when I log on, but I really only want to log on if I have something to say, not just to read new messages.

Now the main thing. Can there be a sticky thread for Things We Want. I don't mean a $10,000 jeep with a V8, selectables, 40 mpg and real tires, but more normal things for after market people to make. In my opinion there isn't a decent forest bumper out there, for example. I mean, one that leans forward, not back so it crushes the bodywork as soon as it gets pushed back an inch or two, one that directs stuff down and not up into your glass windshield, that is attached with shear bolts so when it gets to chassis warp impact it gives rather than goes that expensive route, that covers everything and has ripple mesh over the whole box and dice to protect lights, radiator etc. Carry bars that fit on a soft top with the top up (jeez, they put men on the moon 35+ years ago, how difficult can this be?). A nice little tropical roof that reduces the heat pounding into a soft top (Land Rovers had this in 1950; that would be over half a century ago; they've still got them, they still work). Easily removable roof racks that aren't designed by Rubik, and don't cost more than a used jeep. A simple platform that fits all the way across  the back space (with seat out) of a wrangler, at wheel arch height,  not boxes that waste half the space available. And so on. Somewhere that owners could ask for stuff, and developers could see it and think.  That sits there permanently, and doesn't drop into the wasteland of last month's posts. Maybe even D-C would take a look occasionally.

Please.
