After Lift, CJ-7 doesn't sit level...?

Gentlemen,

I just finished installing a Skyjacker 4" lift on my 1979 CJ-7, and now the thing doesn't sit level.  What gives?  I took it for a ride, (VERY NICE by the way), and took measurements after the ride...when I got back, It was off 5/8" in front, and 9/16" in the back.  Both, so that the passenger side was higher....Definately noticeable when it was just sitting there.  So I let it sit, and rocked it back and forth a few times, and came back 10 minutes later...and the front leveled off perfect, but the rear was still 1/2" off.  Is this common?  Or perhaps the springs just need to be "broken" in and rode around on?  Does this "fix" itself, or am I going to have to get some sort of spacers made to correct it?

Thanks in advance, and for all previous comments.

dude,

My 86 cj does the same thing. I put  Trailmaster 4" on it and it leans to the drivers side. That, I can't stand. I'm looking at options as well.

Hey man, mine does the same thing. Sits low to the drivers side. It's an '82 CJ-7. Started out with trailmaster, then a custom set (still in front), now I am running Rubicon Express rears. I ended up modifing my rear revolver shackles so I could "adjust" the ride hight side to side. This has worked so far with no bad side effects.

I have a buddy that had a cj7 and we put a spring over on it and it did the same thing. I dont have any solutions for you but i can tell you that if you try some dukes of hazzard stuff, well... lets just say the leaning will get worse, but regular wheeling didnt hurt anything. Just keep the flying to a minimum.
