Just put on new goodyear 245/75r16 mt/r and 16 in. rims on 95 yj-woundering whats a good tire pressure to run for daily driver-the max on the tire say 80 psi -tire shop set at 50-want them to wear properly they were expensive-THANKS

Start with the max pressure and see how that feels driving. Goodyear says that the most you can safely operate with. You may feel that is a bit rough, so step it down a bit till you have an acceptable ride.

besides using your butt as a guide you can also get sidewalk kiddy chalk and mark your tires tread area (crossways) then drive it a little on hard ground- then check the patttern you made- chalk left on the outside edges= underinflated and thats where you'll get most wear, on the center area=overinflated and the center wears out most. you wanna try for an even pattern across the tread. and don't forget to rotate 'em.
