my names dale im with the us army here in korea and i have a 1955 willys pick up and i have to drive it to my next duty station beacuse i dont have the money for a new truck she runs good shes powerd by the old 226 super hurricane shes all original except the dana 60 in the rear and the seats and its a 12 volt system. i drove it to high school and work she was my daily driver for 2 years what i need to do is prep her for a cross country drive to georgia and i need and info for cheap ways to prep it. she needs a new fuel tank is about it i wana make on for the bed but i dont know how to go about it i live in oregon and its gona be a 2660 mile road trip i wana make shure she makes it .its a risk i know but im a mechanic for the millatry so im confident in my abilliys but advice on these old jeeps is always good

put it on a car hauler. wont the military pay for it? a highschool buddy got sent to Hawii, and the Navy took care of his wrangler for him

ive had a bad experince with millatary hauling so i wana b with the truck
