Are you tired of seeing everyone else's events and Jeeps in Jp Magazine? Do you think we should be on a trail ride with you? Here's your chance to get your wheeling spot along with you and your pals in Jp Magazine. This was an idea we came up with over lunch. Don't know if it will fly, if we'll get enough entries or get any votes but this is how it will work...hopefully.fficeffice" />>>

First, send in information (best time of year to go, kind of equipment needed, best tire size to run, and so on) and photos of you and all your buddies wheeling in your favorite wheeling-spot. Make sure they are good action-packed shots of Jeeps since that's what we do.>>

Second, we'll pick out a few of the best photos from each entry; print 'em in Jp Magazine along with some of the wheeling-spot info.>>

Third, readers will vote which location we should go to for event coverage and features.>>

Anybody can do this. Heck, spread it around on other websites if you want to. You complaining East Coast guys best not be slackin' on this homework.  >>

Send information and photos to: Jp Magazine, Come Wheelin' With Us, 6420 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048. >>

You can send digital images or regular prints. Digital images should be unmodified and saved to a disk as J-pegs with at least 300dpi resolution and 1200x1500 pixels.

Now get to it!

Sorry, can't use web photos. Most are low-resolution and unprintable.

If you have access to the originals (assuming they were from a digital source) they should work.  This is assuming that the camera was set to a decent resolution at the time.

The problem then becomes moving the pic's.  A good digital picture would be a pain because of size.  A low resolution pic can be posted on your website, while the high res can be made available via an FTP site.  This is an easy and inexpensive way to ensure that you have all bases covered.

just my 2 cents.

It's simply going to be easier if you send a disk with images to us. This is the only way we will accept digital photos for this story. Sorry.

Not to insult anyone (like Sample does so often), but even Walmart can handle digital photos online.

There are many ways to do this, some of which will make life easier.

Just my 2 cents.

Nope, we're still taking entries. Just not website listing entries. The photos are generally too small to print. We need at least 1200x1500 pixles at 300 dpi to use digital photos in the mag. Sorry.

Still have yet to receive any entries from the East Coast. Could it be that there really is no place to go wheeling there? Waiting...

To go here you need some one with a key.   It is a land owners association.   Sorry it is a long write up.

Hey i am from Alabama and where i go hunting you can ride from one side of the mountain to the other side.  We have 3 major pulls going up including a land slide on one of the pulls.  It took us about 3 years to finally get the upper hand on the thing.  We had everything from back hoes to bulldozers to a ditch digger.  It got expensive.  Finally this bolder came down with the dirt and we dug a big hole in the ground for the bolder to be pushed into  so the dirt is pushing on it in stead of the road.  I have not rode totally to the other side but have come close.  I was on a dirt bike but when you are side sliding down the mountain because it is so steep and the rocks are rolling under you it is time to stop and turn around before you go down something you can not come back up.  You don't need a modified rig to run up the mountain but you do need 4 wheel drive.  It is funny watching peopl trying to go up the mountain in two wheel drive trucks with no weight on the rear axle they think they will make it up but then they start spinning the rear wheels and tear up the road.  Some make it and some don't.  Plus every body thinks more power is the key to making it up.  I have took my stock bug and my papaws stock bug up the mountain.  The only problem is it drags on the rock a little to much for my liking.  And no it is not a mountain like out west but it takes about 25 to 30 minutes to get to the cabin and from there it takes about 35 to 45 to get less than half way where the power lines cross the mountain.  THere is a small potato hill there it is more steep i think.  I almost flipped the four wheeler trying to go up it.  The second time is on four wheelers may take longer in a truck according how bad you want your kidneys bruised.  Past the power line nobody takes care of the road so if you go be prepared and don't do any thing stupid or you will have to walk back to the cabin or wait on some one to come and get you or you are just waiting on your death which ever comes first.  Yep, Douglas
