According to the latest JP (Feb.issue pg.34) a stock TJ can fit a 31X10.5 on stock wheels NO PROBLEM! With a two inch lift and keeping the tire width at 10.5 it should be NO PROBLEM! If you keep the stock wheels you may have to install wheel spacers or adjust the turning bump stops. I am going with the BFG Mud-Terrain 255/85R16....33X10 and no lift , who cares if they rub on my Rubi. They rub the ground ALL DAY ;> Lower center of gravity is for me. Happy Trails, TJmak

I am running a 2" puck lift on my 97 TJ with 33X12.50X15 tires with after market rims. Stock control arms, you don't need transfer case spacers with a 2" lift. I get great flex off road with the sway bar dicconected and no rubbing. On road ride is great since you use all stock suspension.

I've got a 98 TJ with a 2.5 inch rancho lift and I run 32x12.5x15 tires. I do have rubbing when I turn but not enough to greatly effect my turning radius.
