Thanks to an over inflated wedding budget my dreams of getting a Rancho Rockcrawler lift andy time soon have been crushed. My tires are looking rough and it is definatly time for some new ones but I do not want to spend the money on another setof 30's I was hoping to move up to 32's. So my thinking now is that I will get a 2 inch budget lift told hold me over untill some day I can save the money to get the lift I would like or should I just hold out and wait a couple of years to get the lift I want. I am reading reviews of some of the OME lifts and people seem to be pretty satisfied with them. Anyone have any sugestions on cheap good lifts? The worst trails my jeep sees are old loging trails to secluded camping spots.

Take a look at a Fabteck coil spacer lift.

Deflate the wedding budget. That's all just to puff up the bride. Alternatively, register for gifts at your nearest 4x4 shop/tire store/etc. Who needs another stinkin' toaster?

1. Get a spacer lift. Cheap and works for what you want, which seems to be actually to go somewhere with bigger wheels and not to cruise the drag looking fine. Not even sure why you need 32s for logging trails, but a couple of inches of spacer shoud do the trick. Read the JP article a few months back about the Fabtech spacers before proceeding, there are others out there cheaper that work.
2. As far as the advice about "puffing up the bride." If you ever want to be able to go jeeping in peace, ever spend another nickel on your jeep without going dry for a month or two, and not have an emotional marital debt the size of Fort Knox, do whatever it takes for the wedding. Weddings are only about the bride and her mother; everyone else, including you, are just filler. Realize it, and enjoy. You can start off at the top of the hill, or deep in the hole. Your choice.

Thank for the advice, I'll check out the fabtech artical. I would like some 32's to clear logs and suff I might get hung up on latter I would like to be able to up grade to a better lift for some touger trails, you know how it is you go down a trail looking for that camping spot and then when you get there and the camp is set up you find yourself #### around wiht your buddies getting Jeep stuck. The weeding was worth the money and I am glad we did it the way we did, I have a big famiy and we live in NC and the rest of the family is from Pittsburgh so they all traveled and since they did we couldent be cheap and have a quick wedding with finger food, plus we spent alot on booze, it was a great time just sucks having to be careful of my spending now.

Congrats on your marrage.
The lease expensive lift would to get 1-3/4" or 2" polly spring spacers from Procomp, Daystar Rubicon Express or the like. Just put them in and go. This way when you have saved up enough pop and beer cans you can upgrade.

if your gonna spend the money for a spacer lift, just as well save a couple more dollars and buy a rustys 2 inch coil lift, last i looked it was $310 dollars with coils and shocks.then later on f you moved to 33's all you need is a 1 or 2 inch body lift.

Good job on the wedding, and marriage. Rocky Road spacer lifts also include a bar pin elininator that lets you use your standard shocks with a lift. So you keep your nice factory springs - no harsh ride when the bubba comes along next year- but still get room. I understand what you mean about logs- I've spent good money just to get the full diaper effect fo the jeep fuel tank lifted up. Jeez, what were they thinking? Dropping down and getting hung on a 10" log is absurd when you can crawl over it happily. So yes, 32s will help there. The couple of hundred $ difference between a 2" coil lift and a 2" spacer lift will get you a Kilby (or Warn) tank guard, giving you 3" for your $350 (everthing else is high and clear except the tank), and a solid landing when you do drop your backside on something. And factory springing and ride, with no added expenses for dropped trannies, and all the other over 2" necessities to eliminate drive train problems. I'm still not sure which is the best rig, but 3" of backside clearance, 2" overall, factory driving, etc, seems a good deal for your $350. Plus the inches from the tires.
Once you get your 32s you're going to be able to drive up 2'+ verticals, so unless your camp spots are really off the wall, most wheeling should be fine.

Thanks forall the advice you guys have ben realy helpful. Right now my budget sucks, I am a old college student, I did the army first and now am trying to get my degree, so of course I am poor. I hope to graduate in a year or two. So I do look forward to when I have a real job and make real money. maybe my fasination with a 2.5 inch lift and 32's comes from the project red build up JP did a while back. I loved that whole setup. Good clearance and articulation, Not too big of tires but big enough. Of course I know a lift will just lead to a laundry list of things to get afterward, slip yoke eliminator, stronger axls, dertoit locker, and all the rest of the toys. I am contemplating weathr it is worth sinking the money into my current TJ a 2000 Sahara or just look for a good used Rubicon Unlimited when some chick trades it in for the new JK. I have always wanted more room so I am not sure if sinking money into my Jeep is worth it or if the mone save by havign no payments will be better spent on a bumper Rack to cary the exra gear or a trailer. Yes logs suck and so do ruts on the trail I find no matter how hard I try to straddle them or keep on side on dry ground I always eventualy slide down into them and get hung up. No chance in little ones anytime soon, we are dininatly waiting until we are both working and finacialy stable, plus my wife is realy not all that crazy about kids. I know you are going to say ust wait, bt we have been toghether for seven years now and we are in no hurry. The dog is enough. Thanks aain

One more thought! why not get a 1" body lift or one of the 2" coil spacer lift's mentioned and a winch. Look at Harbor Freight or one that is on sale for around $400.00 or $500.00 maby even a used one. Then run what you have and have fun.
