Anyone have any rub issues with 31 X 10.50 15's on stock 15 X7 alloy wheels with a OME 2 1/2 lift..Thinking of running BFG M/T's but havent checked backspacing or rub issues whith stock alloys.

you'll probably have to adjust the stearing stops, same as if it was stock. its easy to do

You will be fine...
96 grand,3.5 Tuff Country,3/4 spacers,rusty's trackbar and mount,dual stabilizers,JCR rock sliders, Dynomax catback etc etc.

my first set of replacement tires on my '97 (277,000 kms) were 31x10.5 R15's on stock rims. i have never bothered to adjust the steering stops, though ... as groo notes it is easily done. at full turn, the tire will touch the suspension ... just barely. i'm on my 6th set of tires. never had a problem. P

Thanks for the advice...Looking forward to filling up those fender wells a bit...I'm sure u can remember the first lift with those worn out 30 x 9.50 x 15 meats and just anticipating the new stance 31's will give .....yeah, yeah, I know why not 32's......baby steps...baby steps.

If you insist on running with stock rims and 10.50's, yur gonna need spacers, or you can buy some steeleys with 3.75" backspacing.

all that changing the backspacing will do is give you accelerated wheel bearing wear, tires sticking out from the flares flinging mud, and more tire scrub when you turn the wheel. adding a washer or 2 behind the steering stops makes much more sense.

Thanks for the advise...31's went on today.....no rub issues so far.....very pleased with the look and the handling...I'd reccommend BFG's anytime. With the OME 2 1/2" lift, 31's were a perfect fit...might even of considered running 32's.

just get some cutout fender flares and u can run 32's maybe even 33s

I just put 31x10.5x15s on my 02 with stock suspension and don't have any rub issues.

no problems man, i got a YJ with no lift running 31 x 10.5 x 15 on a 15x8 rim. Never touches fender. On a TJ you have alil more clearence stock then on a YJ. So youll just have to adjust the bumpstops.
95 2.5 Wrangler YJ. lifted and MURDERED OUT! try seeing me at night.
