I have an 03 TJ and when i'm steering at slow speeds I hear a popping sound coming from the front of the jeep, I cant tell if its on the driver or passenger side but its a loud ping type sound... lol thats the best way i can describe (ping) Any help/suggestions would be great....Or if you've had this problem maybe you know what it is or what i can do.

could it be a swaybar link?, or maybe a steering box mount. does it do it when stopped and just crank the wheel?

Hey i think i know your problem. does it pop and make the jeep jump a little when you are at a stop and you turn the wheel left and right? If it does i had the same problem and it drove me crazy. My problem was that my front trac bar bolt was loose. check it out and see if it is tight, it is located right below the steering stabilizer on the passanger side. if it is loose tighten it up and i think that will cure the probelm. good luck
